Day 3
|
Before getting to the prompt, I'd like to mention I'm really ill right now. Damn.
"Snow".
Huh. Ok. Haven't seen it lately unless you count the TV news or the god-awful Christmas specials they rerun on TV every year (exception being "Christmas Vacation"-I will always have a soft spot).
Seriously, snow is something other people get, other people deal with, other people moan about. We don't. Not here in Southern California. We can choose to see snow if we happen to go up to the mountains (like Big Bear for instance) and see some. But again, it's more of an optional novelty. Snow shovel not included. I've stayed there for a couple of days and have some tales of ice and its effects, but really snow and I are only vaguely acquainted. I've never been to the midwest when it snows. I've never been to the east when it snows. I'm just not a snow kinda girl. Really? Who am I kidding, writing an entry about snow? It's going to be 82 degrees tomorrow.
Now I have a gallon of Nyquil to go consume.Labels: CA, Day 3, snow |

LOL (about the snow, not you being sick ... I'm sorry you're sick and hope you feel better soon ... left recommendations on your Day 4 post already) but your post here sums up MY reaction to the "snow" prompt. I live a block & a half from the ocean in Southern California and the last time I saw anything resembling snow was more than a decade ago when we got enough hail in the neighborhood to make locals THINK we had snow :) Hugs and blessings,
